ACS hires Robert Sophie as Director of Sales-Foodservice. Robert will be responsible for all Food Service Sales through distribution chains and retail. Prior to joining ACS, Robert spent 20 years in the Industry on the broker side with Paper Connexion and most recently, Acosta Cornerstone-Nationally.

ACS has appointed Ken Wittwer to the position of Western Regional Manager. Ken will be responsible for all Western Regional Sales and Broker Agencies. Ken joins ACS with over 25 years of sales and management experience in the Food Service and Janitorial Markets. He lives in Northern California.

October 2016

ACS introduces new Color Coded Line at ISSA Interclean. This new line consists of Hand Pads, Microfiber Towels, Mops, Brooms, Brushes and Accessories.

These color code products become part of a Cleanliness Program which prevents cross contamination, differentiates between areas or specific tasks and eliminates any language barrier with employee training.

January 2016

ACS hires Jason Bender as Northeast Regional Sales Manager. In this position, Jason will be responsible for sales in all Northeast States down through the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining ACS, Jason spent many years selling into the Foodservice Market on the beverage side of the business.

ACS has been awarded 2015 Bronze Level Top Supplier Award for the Supplier & Equipment Category by Sysco Corporation. This Supplier Excellence Award is given to business partners that achieve criteria such as sales, margin and case growth as well as total sales of Sysco Brand Products while supporting local operating companies.

The business is now ACS Cleaning Products Division with a new tagline: Common Sense Cleaning Products. The focus of this rebrand is to better message regarding the company’s position of Premium Cleaning Products without the Premium Price. The new URL is acs.cp.com.

ACS completes the final phase of non-woven production now all under one roof. ACS moved into this new plant in the spring of 2013 and now houses all production, shipping and inventory. The newest non-woven line 4 completes a $3 M investment in state-of-the-art production equipment.

ACS appoints Rory Beaudette the position of Chief Operating Officer of its Cleaning Products Division. Having been with the company since 2001, Rory has held various sales positions and most recently as Vice President Sales for this business unit. He will have complete responsibility for the business.

ACS hires Acosta Cornerstone as its premier sales rep agency for a 24 state region covering the Northeast, Midwest, Central and Gulf South Markets. The Cornerstone Division of Acosta is non-food focused and is responsible for all Food Service and Janitorial Sales.

ACS launches at ISSA a new line of Specialty Floor Pads consisting of Microfiber Pads, Melamine Pads and Turf Pads for the Tile & Grout cleaning. These new pads complement its non-woven line and gives the floor care professional more choices when it comes to cleaning and showing various floor surfaces.

ACS receives UL Validation for its Non-Woven Floor Pads and Hand Pad lines made from recycled PET fiber. This third party validation is critical to be able to supply the market a product it knows 100% that is compliant. The UL validation is a rigorous process that the company is proud to have achieved.

ACS develops the Winning Combination for wet floor mopping consisting of a large blue tube style Microfiber Mop Head along with a fully adjustable Twist Lock Aluminum Jaws Gripper Handle. The Microfiber Mop will last 10x longer than a conventional mop while providing a powerful clean that is unmatched. The Aluminum Adjustable handle allows the operator to set the handle at his or her correct height as well as making it shorter to get into more difficult areas. The third piece of this combination is a 24 Qt Light Duty Bucket Wringer with water compartments. Using a Microfiber Mop Head allows for less water use whereby downsizing the Bucket/Wringer as a distinct advantage.

ACS installs 20 state-of-the-art high output stainless steel scrubber production machines. As the only manufacturer of stainless steel scrubbers to the food service industry, this investment will allow ACS to maintain its leadership position in the product line for many years to come.

ACS hires Jorge Duran as its Sales Manager for Latin America sales. In this position, Jorge is responsible for all sales in Mexico, Central America and South America. Prior to joining ACS, Jorge spent many years with Ecolab selling into foodservice in Latin America.

October 2013

ACS hires Luis Pena as its Plant Manager. In this position, Luis will be responsible for all production and operations in its Plant 3 Cleaning Products Division. Prior to joining ACS, Luis spent many years at GE in similar roles.

August 2013

ACS installs fully automated floor pad cutting and packing line. This equipment is a major improvement over prior methods and will allow the company to continue with its cost advantage in floor pads.

June 2013

ACS launches new line of Cyclone D diamond floor pads. This new line uses a special diamond carrier pad produced by ACS with the latest diamond application technologies available. These pads are available in four grit sizes from 400-3000. A valve added diamond shape wear indicator is in every pad to help the operator determine when a pad change needs to occur. All pads are clearly marked with proper grit size.

May 2013

ACS adds Brian Sparks with Sparks Global Marketing as its independent rep agency responsible for all Canadian sales. Brian will also assist with European sales for the Cleaning Products business. Brian spent many years with Glit in similar sales positions before starting his own sales agency.
